A cold winter week in RGJ

First of all thank you to all of the parents and carers that have read stories throughout this week! The children have truly enjoyed it and it has sparked many conversations about our favorite books, making this week a very special one. We have also had a fantastic time reading chapters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. On Thursday the classroom was filled with different literary characters and everyone had a chance to go up on the stage in the hall for the school’s World Book Day Parade.
During this cold week we have gone on snow walks around the school to observe how our environment has changed. We have also taken the chance to bake our own gingerbread people and have a blast in the process!
In phonics, we have begun to learn digraphs ‘ur , ‘ow’ , ‘oi and ‘ear’
In maths, we have begun to count on and carry on practicing addition.
